Two Thai Dishes Ranked Among 50 Best-Rated Chicken Dishes

Two renowned dishes from Thailand have been honoured as part of the 50 Best Rated Chicken Dishes in the World, according to TasteAtlas, the esteemed global food mapping website.

The site presents an extensive catalog of food rankings worldwide, establishing a must-try list for culinary adventurers.

The two dishes that made the list are Khao Mok Kai and Kai Yang. Khao Mok Kai is a unique Muslim-inspired dish consisting of succulent chicken coupled with fragrant saffron-infused rice.

This aromatic entree secured the 38th position in the rankings, earning a commendable rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars.

Coming in at the 46th place with a rating of 4.2 stars is Kai Yang, a delightful presentation of Thai-style grilled chicken.

The dish showcases the country’s talent for enhancing flavours using simple, fresh ingredients, and is a crowd favourite among food connoisseurs.

Sitting at the top of the ranking is Iran’s Jujeh Kabab, a universally loved grilled chicken dish, boasting a near-perfect rating of 4.8 stars.

Jujeh Kabab is an integral part of Persian cuisine, traditionally prepared in two variations – one with boneless chicken, and the other featuring chicken with the bone.

The meat, usually cut into sizeable pieces, is marinated in an assortment of flavourful sauces and saffron, skewered, and then grilled to perfection.

The second best chicken dish is South Korea’s Dak Galbi, a tempting stir-fried chicken dish, followed by India’s iconic duo, Murgh Makhani, or butter chicken, and Tikka, a roasted marinated chicken bathed in a flavorful yogurt and spice blend.

Additionally, Indonesia’s Ayam Goreng, a fried marinated chicken dish, also featured in the top five.

The sixth position was claimed by Georgia’s Tsitsila Tabaka, a delicious pan-fried chicken dish.

Other noteworthy entries include Portugal’s Frango Assado com Piri Piri, a savory roasted chicken, Algeria’s Tajine Zitoune, a hearty stewed chicken, Cuba’s Fricasé de Pollo, another variation of stewed chicken, and Peru’s Pollo a la Brasa, a tender roasted chicken.
