Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted kissing while having dinner at a restaurant over the weekend.
The couple, who ended their engagement 17 years ago, was at a family dinner at the Nobu hotspot in Malibu on Sunday night to celebrate her sister’s birthday, Lynda Lopez. The 51-year-old famous singer and the award-winning actor were joined by her 13-year-old twin children, son Maximilian, and daughter Emme.
Ben seemed comfortable around the loved ones of his old but new love interest.
Despite being surrounded by other people, the two weren’t shy about enjoying a make-out session during the meal. Lopez put her hand on Ben’s shoulder as she went in to kiss him, and he -who was surely smitten- smiled sweetly during the smackdown.
The two then stared adoringly at each other as the Waiting For Tonight hitmaker’s nuzzled Affleck’s cheek.
After that, the actor could be seen stroking Jennifer’s neck as he apparently whispered sweet things. On their PDA-packed outing, a Nobu source told People on Monday: “Jen and Ben sat next to each other and were very affectionate. They held hands under the table.”
But it wasn’t all about cuddles and kisses, as the couple spent some time bonding with Jennifer’s family.
Videos and pictures circulating on social media also showed JLo’s twins coming over to show the couple something on a smartphone. People’s source said: “Ben and her kids seemed comfortable together. The kids kept chatting with Ben. Ben seemed great. He was smiling and laughing. They ordered a lot of food to share. Ben had a Diet Coke.”
Outside the restaurant, the Batman actor appeared to be having fun with Lopez’s children, as he was seen sharing a laugh with Emme before making their entrance.
The Argo star subsequently walked alongside JLo’s son Max and was seen giving the singer’s younger sister and birthday celebrant, Lynda, a hug before getting in the car. Additionally, People’s source said that the A-list actor already has her mother’s stamp of approval, stating: “In the past, Jennifer’s mom and Ben were very close. Guadalupe loved Ben. She was sad when they couldn’t work things out years ago.”
“She is thrilled that they are back together now,” the source added.
Lopez and Affleck started dating in 2002 and announced their engagement in November that year. However, they called off their wedding a few days before the ceremony and officially confirmed their split in January 2004.
