Inspired Gareth Bale Leads Wales to Victory Over Turkey

Wales secured a valuable 2-0 win over Turkey on Wednesday that virtually assures them of a place in the last 16 of EURO 2020.

Wales’ top star Gareth Bale put in a very good performance and contributed two assists that were key to his national team taking all three points.

The first minutes were exciting and both teams created chances to score. As the game was played in Baku (Azerbaijan), the Turks felt almost at home and that motivated them.

In the fifth minute, Aaron Ramsey eluded a defender inside the box and unleashed a well-placed shot that goalkeeper Cakir saved.

In the 42nd minute, Bale played a precise pass to Ramsey who controlled the ball elegantly and opened the scoring.

In the second half, the Welsh were awarded a penalty, but Bale sent the ball over.

Even so, in stoppage time, Bale produced a spectacular individual move and played a lethal pass to Roberts to make it 2-0.

Wales are now second in Group A with 4 points and a goal difference of +2. Italy are the leaders with 6 points and a goal difference of +6, while Switzerland are third with 1 point and Turkey are bottom with 0 points.
