Bangkok Awaits Rod Stewart’s IMPACT Arena Concert in March

Legendary rocker Rod Stewart is set for a return to Thailand in 2024 with a one-night-only concert at Bangkok’s IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Sir Rod, who received a knighthood in the UK’s 2016 Birthday Honours list for his services to music and charity, has performed in Bangkok twice previously in 1995 and 2009, much to the delight of his legion of fans in the kingdom. The “Maggie May” crooner is making a stop in Bangkok, to perform one of his “Live in Concert, One Last Time” Asian tour dates.

Rod’s concert in the Thai capital will see the city join Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kaohsiung, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Manila in hosting the British rock and pop singer, songwriter, and record producer, who has sold more than 250 million records during his splendid career.

Some of his biggest hits include “I Don’t Want To Talk About It”, “Sailing”, “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy”, “Have I Told You Lately”, “Rhythm of My Heart’, and “Tonight’s the Night”. Sir Rod is well-known for his soulful, raspy voice and his flamboyant clothing and hairstyle choices.

Born in Highgate, London, Rod rose to become a global star on the back of his enormous success achieved by landmark album “Every Picture Tells a Story”, released back in 1971.

Prior to his solo career taking off, Rod Stewart first gained public recognition as a member of the Jeff Beck Group, which was formed in London back in 1967. The talented artist had also previously spent three years working with Long John Baldry and the All Stars group.

Over his epic six-decade-long career in the music industry, Sir Rod has brought out a total of 32 studio albums. His latest release, “The Tears of Hercules”, dropped in November of 2021, receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from his loyal fanbase and music critics.

In addition to his musical prowess, the star is well-renowned for his distinct sense of style, heavily focused on bold patterns, vibrant colours, and his signature spiky, blonde haircut, epitomizing the era’s extravagant rock and roll lifestyle enjoyed in the 1970’s, and 1980’s. Rod’s magnetic personality and rock star allure is characterized by his endless charisma.

Football also plays a leading role in the Rod Stewart story: his love for Scottish club Celtic is widely known, and he has had an ardent, lifelong devotion for the Hoops. This passion is reflected in his enthusiastic attendance at matches and devoted support for the team.
