Central Pattana Ignites Rainbow Revolution for Pride Month 2023

Central Pattana is preparing to paint the city in rainbow colours for Pride Month through the “Thailand’s Pride Month Celebration 2023” initiative spanning the month of June.

In partnership with the United Nations Development Programme and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the commercial property developer is uniting with LGBTQIA+ supporters.

This includes Muse by Metinee and Bangkok Pride, to promote Thailand as a prime global location for Pride Month festivities.

With the theme “Pride For All” resonating powerfully, the grand festivities will unfold at Central locations across the nation.

The key events are as follows:

• On the 1st of June, over 300 models will take to the catwalk for a fashion display at the CentralWorld’s “Proud To Be Pride 2023” event, directed by renowned supermodel Metinee “Lukkade” Kingpayom.

•  Various artists and bands will take the stage at the Pride Concert on the same day. Additionally, there will be a “Pride Talk”, a marketplace, and a Miss International Queen Contest featuring national costumes.

• What is a Pride Month without a march? Prepare yourself for the pride parade on June 1, winding through Bangkok’s neighbourhoods, with a 144.8m long rainbow flag carried aloft by Bangkok Pride.

• Central Chiangmai will vocalize its support during Pride Month with radiant rainbow decorations, encouraging visitors to fully partake in the festivities. A fashion photo challenge with prizes awaits at the mall as well.

• In Isan, Pride Month at Central Ubon will be nothing less than spectacular. A fashion show with beauty pageants and a performance from the Global Youth Biodiversity Network’s drag queens are among the standout events.

• Central Pattaya and Central Marina will curate a lively marketplace and march from June 23 to 25, including a parade proceeding along Pattaya Beach Road on June 24.

• To the South, Central Phuket will commemorate its inaugural Pride Month with a parade and an LGBTQIA+ fashion show on June 4. Stick around for an exciting performance by Simon Cabaret Phuket and the “Pride Talk”, featuring queer celebrities every Friday and Saturday night throughout the month.
