Discover Beloved Studio Ghibli Characters at CentralWorld Live

CentralWorld Live is set to transform a 3,000m² area into a wondrous realm filled with creativity, sorcery, and dreams for “The World Of Studio Ghibli’s Animation Exhibition Bangkok 2023”, slated to commence on July 1st and conclude on September 30th.

Last year, enthusiasts of Ghibli in Thailand had their first taste of the renowned Japanese studio through its inaugural exhibition in Bangkok.

It presented a selection of its cherished animated films, complemented with calligraphy carrying significant lines and quotes that are fundamental to the universe of Studio Ghibli.

On this occasion, however, the display will collate the most memorable scenes from 10 Studio Ghibli productions.

These scenes are recreated in massive 3D formats, providing spectators an opportunity to immerse themselves in these classic moments personally.

The featured films consist of “My Neighbor Totoro”, “Howl’s Moving Castle”, “Spirited Away”, “KiKi’s Delivery Service”, “Princess Mononoke”, “Castle In The Sky”, “Porco Rosso”, “Nausicaä Of The Valley Of The Wind”, “Ponyo On A Cliff By The Sea”, and “Pom Poko”.

Just last week, Kaonashi, or No Face, the renowned character from “Spirited Away”, astonished Bangkok residents by journeying through the city center in a tuk-tuk.

This surprising spectacle aims to drum up interest for the impending exhibition.

It promises to transport Ghibli admirers on a journey through the lush expanse of Totoro Forest, embark on a homeward-bound train ride with Kaonashi, or unwind and snack at Osono’s bread shop.

Moreover, they will have an exclusive opportunity to explore the colossal Laputa castle from “Castle In The Sky,” which will be part of the upcoming exhibition for the first time in history.

CentralWorld Live is situated on the 8th floor of CentralWorld, on Ratchadamri Road.

The entry fee is 590 baht (1,290 baht for the VIP package), and tickets can be secured from Thai Ticket Major outlets. On-the-spot tickets are priced at 650 baht.
