A fresh underground venue for music events kicked off their distinctive six-part series as a component of their grand inaugural celebration this past weekend.
Kangkao is an assembly of Thai DJs, encompassing four local acts that came together amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The commencement of their “Kangkao Echo” music event series took place on Saturday, with plans to unfold over the forthcoming six months at the newly established venue sharing the same name.
The series will exhibit both local and international talent, amplified by art and light exhibits.
“We will be showcasing various performances in the space,” commented Payu Von Buren, Kangkao’s creative director and DJ.
“The six events will be mainly music-based with immersive lighting surrounded by different set installations to immerse you even more into the setting.”
“In between those six events we are working to use the space as a function hall for exhibitions of art, fashion, lifestyle,” he continued.
The series’ first event, titled ‘Into the Unknown’, was hosted on Saturday in the previous week (May 27).
Apart from the music, anticipate home-prepared Pakistani, Peruvian, and Vietnamese cuisine courtesy of the social platform, Na Project.
All income generated from food sales will be gifted to refugee families and the youth training initiative at Sati Non-Profit.
The Kangkao Echo venue, covering 900 square meters, is situated within Trinity Mall in Silom, with subsequent events slated for June 24, July 22, August 26, September 23, and October 28.
