Art and home decor enthusiasts should save the date for this Saturday when “Decor+” is set to auction off renowned artworks from Thailand and abroad, starting from 2pm. The event will take place at River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung 24.
The Art Auction Center, a prestigious auction house, is organizing this unique art auction where valuable art and high-end furniture intersect, creating extraordinary aesthetics and adding value to every living area.
Art connoisseurs will appreciate the diversity of the 156 art pieces on offer, spanning a range of styles, from contemporary to classic, abstract to realism, and everything in between, all created by esteemed artists.
Standout items include an early collection of surrealist oil paintings by Chuang Moolpinit, a distinguished artist who was named Thailand’s national artist of the year in 2013.
There are also rare art pieces from the late Sawasdi Tantisuk, whose work was influenced by Cubism during his studies in Italy.
These artworks will be available for bidding: an oil painting with gold leaves against a red backdrop by Thawan Duchanee, and a rare early work by Kamol Tassananchalee.
Additionally, there is a crayon-on-paper sketch of Wat Rong Khun by Chalermchai Kositpipat, and art by Basuki Abdullah, an Indonesian artist who was invited to serve as a royal court painter for King Rama IX in Thailand.
The auction selection also includes works by esteemed Thai artists like Alex Face, 2Choey, and Benzilla, as well as international artists such as Yoshitomo Nara and Todd James.
Furthermore, vivid and creative artworks and art toys by emerging talents like Gongkan, Pex, Molly, and Muebon will be part of the lots.
All these artworks will be showcased along with luxury furniture from brands managed by DMHome, which imports and distributes global brands like Bottega Veneta, Fendi Casa, Kartell, Missoni Home, Ralph Lauren Home, Trussardi Casa, Roberto Cavalli Home, and Gianfranco Ferre Home in Thailand.
The items will be divided into different areas, each representing a distinctive corner or room of a house. The Balcony Bliss section, for example, offers an outside view and primarily features landscape or nature-themed art.
Other sections include Classic Corner, Hall of Honor, Aurum Atrium, Serene Suite, Endless Imagination, and Play Pal.
The auction items are on display for the public at the RCB Galleria 2, open daily from 11am to 8pm, through Friday.
