Thailand’s biggest event catering towards health-conscious individuals is finally here!
Until July 17, the Market Bangkok (Ratchaprasong) will host over 100 booths for tourism, herbal activities, and massages.
Entitled “Thailand Hub of Health & Travel,” it unveils local highlights on traditional massage therapies, herbals, and health travel under the Wellness Tourism Trend, hoping to demonstrate the country’s potential as a Global Medical & Wellness Hub.
The event was organized by The Market Bangkok in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, and the Tourism and Sports and Public Health ministries. Travel, massage, spa, and medical hemp & cannabis networks join force also joined the opening ceremony, held at M Hall, M Floor.
During the Thailand Hub of Health & Travel, five regions offer special discounted travel packages to boost Thailand’s tourism economy. In Chiang Mai province, tourists can enjoy Travel with Cannabis trips and tours.
For those looking to recharge their energy, Andaman Wellness suggests a relaxing southern travel program with its Phang Nga Detox package.
The event also hosts the World Nuad Thai Championship, a competition broadcast from Switzerland where Thai massage therapists strive to win the prestigious Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn trophy.
Attendees can also learn about and experience Thai cultural heritage through massages from four regions, including spiritual treatment based on faith and beliefs by therapists from northern Hmong, Khamu, Akha, and Mho Muang Lanna ethnic groups.
Thailand Hub of Health & Travel also brings an herbal menu from special-roast coffee café Karaboon Deli, Cabbages & Condoms with healthy treats for well-being consciousness people.
In addition to the hemp and cannabis foods and products certified by local authorities, people can enjoy a multi-benefit plant-based rehabilitation and therapy program.
Want to learn something new? The event also brings interesting workshops such as “Self-massage therapy training based on traditional medicine science” with office syndrome treatment by the Ayurvedic Association of Thailand.
Watpo Thai Traditional Medical and Massage School also spreads knowledge by demonstrating Ascetic self-stretching (Rue-si Datton), while Thai Hemp Wellness opens minds to how Thai herbs and cannabis support therapeutic services in a sustainable way.
