The biggest food and beverage trade expo in Asia, “Thaifex — Anuga Asia”, is set to make a grand comeback post-pandemic, running for five days from May 23 to 27, at the Impact Challenger 1-5 and Hall 5-12, located in Muang Thong Thani.
Planned around the concept “Beyond Food Experience”, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Koelnmesse are hosting an event.
This event serves as a worldwide stage for business people to negotiate agreements, find inspiration, uncover innovative solutions and technologies, while also generating marketing prospects in the region.
Over 3,000 companies from 43 nations, inclusive of 1,200 Thai enterprises, are set to display their products and services at around 5,500 stalls.
Countries contributing include East Asia, Asean, Europe, the US, Australia, Latin America, and the Middle East. The event aims to draw in 60,000 visitors from 120 different countries.
The expo will exhibit 11 distinct zones, each dedicated to a variety of food and beverage items, such as coffee and tea, drinks, gourmet food, food service, food technology, frozen food, fruits and vegetables, meat, rice, seafood, along with sweets and confectionery.
Exclusive activities will take place — the “Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge” contest, seminars for knowledge exchange, and “Export Clinic”, a commercial activity with trade attachés.
Consumer-focused special zones will keep attendees informed about food trends, encompassing a Halal market, an organic market, a future food market, “Future Food Experience+”, “Taste Innovation Show”, and “Thai Select Pavilion”.
In addition to informational stands from various organizations, the event will feature captivating exhibitions — the “DITP Service Center”, “Thailand: The Land Of Tropical Fruits”, Thai herbal products, and “Thaifex — Anuga Halal Pavilion”.
In conjunction with the physical event, a virtual version of the trade show will let participants explore and choose product categories of their interest, enabling them to interact with 3D models, videos, product catalogues, and product images.
They’ll also have the opportunity to negotiate business deals via video calls, chat, or messaging.
The full-fledged revival of this trade expo will also showcase innovative and eco-friendly production techniques, such as carbon footprint and Eco-score labelling, while emphasizing zero waste and food waste products to encourage sustainability throughout the value chain.
The event welcomes trade and business visitors every day from 10am to 6pm, while the general public can join only on the final day from 10am to 8pm.
