Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant group has revealed plans to launch 14 restaurants in Thailand in the upcoming year, partnering with the Thailand-based lifestyle and retail brand, Tanachira Group.
Two of the restaurants are set to open this December at the nearly completed Emsphere mega-mall in Phrom Phong.
The remaining 12 venues are also confirmed to be located in Thailand; however, the specific opening dates and the types of restaurants are set to be announced to the public.
Scheduled to commence operations at Emsphere in December are Bread Street Kitchen & Bar and Street Pizza, both representing the casual dining segment of the group.
Bread Street Kitchen & Bar primarily offers a menu featuring traditional British cuisine such as beef Wellington and fish and chips, along with specials including macaroni cheese and sticky toffee pudding.
Street Pizza, recently spotlighted by the viral food challenge YouTuber BeardMeatsFood, is renowned for its innovative all-you-can-eat pizza model, offering unlimited pizza for a fixed price over a two-hour period, as illustrated by BeardMeatsFood’s experience.
The ambiance is reminiscent of a relaxed sports bar, serving uncomplicated pizzas, wings, assorted craft beers, cocktails, and featuring large television screens for sports viewing.
Additionally, the franchise offers a mobile application allowing patrons to accumulate points and purchase merchandise.
Gordon Ramsay follows in the footsteps of another renowned British chef, Jamie Oliver, in venturing into the Thai market.
Oliver introduced his Jamie’s Italian restaurant chain in Siam Discovery in 2015, which subsequently underwent rebranding to Jamie Oliver Kitchen following a muted response to the first concept. Unfortunately, the venue ceased operations permanently in 2020.
