Sneaker Brand New Balance Declares Its Exit From Thailand

New Balance, the popular international sneaker and fashion brand, has unexpectedly announced the closure of all its retail stores in Thailand.

The decision has taken fans by surprise, as the brand has been well-received in the country for both its sports and fashion offerings.

Customers visiting the Central Rama 9 branch were met with a sign expressing gratitude for their support and confirming the permanent closure.

Similarly, New Balance’s official Line account sent out a message informing followers of the temporary closure.

The sudden decision to shut down all stores in Thailand stems from the expiration of the import and export contract between New Balance and its supplier, CRC Sports.

This development has left the brand searching for a new buyer, who could potentially bring New Balance back to the Thai market as early as next year.

New Balance’s popularity in Thailand is partly due to the endorsements of several celebrities, such as Kendal Jenner, who played a significant role in the sell-out success of the New Balance 530 model.

Despite the store closures, Thai customers can continue to purchase New Balance products through the Supersport website and other online platforms.

Originating in Boston, Massachusetts, New Balance was founded in 1906 as the New Balance Arch Support Company.

Today, the brand boasts an extensive range of over 900 models, catering to a diverse clientele across the globe.
