Aperol’s bar boasts an oceanfront setting at this premium lifestyle resort, offering patrons Italian aperitivo, tasty nibbles, and curated music to enjoy while taking in beautiful sunset views. The property has a terrific position in the charming Jomtien part of vibrant Pattaya.
Both Renaissance guests and visitors to Jomtien now have the opportunity to experience the Italian cultural ritual of aperitivo, which is the consumption of a beverage before food to stimulate the appetite, for four months straight at the ultra chilled pop-up cocktail spot.
Symphony Loo, seen in the first of the two pictures above, is the CAMPARI GROUP Brand Ambassador – SEA. She attended the pop-up bar’s launch on December 16th, leading an Italian drink workshop and showing those present how to make the perfect Aperol Spritz.
Those in attendance had many questions to ask experienced bartender Symphony about making the incredibly refreshing colourful concoction. In its simplest and classic form, the light wine-based cocktail with its distinct orange hue and aromatic citrusy taste, has three main ingredients that should be mixed together: Italian Prosecco, Aperol, and soda water.
It is also recommended that an Aperol Spritz contains plenty of ice and an orange wedge to garnish – from humble beginnings in small bars across Northern Italy the Aperol Spritz has not only become the Italian aperitivo of choice, but a favourite right across the world.
Aperol Brings Italian Aperitivo to Beachside Chilling in Pattaya
For anyone heading to Aperol’s pop-up bar, you can select your favourite tipple from four options of Aperol Spritz, Campari Spritz, Negroni, and Negroni Sbagliato. You can expect comfortable seating overlooking the ocean alongside tapas-style snacks and masterfully curated chillout music, as well as live DJs spinning all the latest tracks on the weekends.
The pop-up bar is situated immediately in front of the beach with public access, so that is good news for non-hotel guests, who would also like to kick back with a thirst-quenching beverage, and have the chance to gaze out to the water as the waves come crashing in.
Aperol, and in particular Aperol Spritz, have been soaring in popularity internationally for some time now. It’s easy to see why the Italian tradition of having light drinks and snacks before dinner has taken off: the ritual gives a laidback transition between work and play.
In 2019, Aperol raised a glass to mark its 100th anniversary by Aperol Spritz being named as the ninth best-selling cocktail on the planet by website Drinks International. Today, it is estimated that more than 300,000 Aperol Spritzes are drunk all over the world everyday.
