22nd World Gourmet Festival Brings Star-Studded Chef Team to Bangkok

The World Gourmet Festival, considered Bangkok’s longest-running and preeminent culinary event, is set to return to the City of Angels and bring back the best award-winning master chefs in a unique and special celebration.

From September 6-11, 2022, Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel will host a week-long celebration to encourage the free exchange of ideas on the exceptional food and dining scene.

The event brings together acclaimed chefs from the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, France, and Thailand under one roof, inviting them to showcase their distinctive styles in a grand international culinary extravaganza at the capital’s exclusive spot.

World-renowned chefs include Peter Gast from the Michelin-starred restaurant Graphite (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Davide Caranchino from the Micheline-starred Materia restaurant (Como, Italy), Nicolas Isnard from the Michelin-starred Auberge de la Charme restaurant (Prenois, France), Amergico Sesti from Micheline-starred J’AIME by Jean-Michel Lorain (Bangkok), Claire Clark from Pretty Sweet (London, United Kingdom), Sugio Yamaguchi from Botanique (Paris, France), Christian Martina from Clara (Bangkok), Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam from Baan Tepa (Bangkok), and Sutakon Suwannachot from Chocolatier Boutique Cafe (Bangkok).

All events begin with a delicious dinner in the Anantara Siam Ballroom on September 6. There, guests can get a glimpse of what’s to come in the upcoming days of celebration.

Sugio Yamaguchi and Peter Gast will offer exquisite entrees before Nicolas Isnard and Davide Caranchini delight food enthusiasts with savory main courses. Claire Clark and Anantara Siam’s Executive Pastry Chef will be in charge of adding a touch of sweetness to the night with delicious desserts.

The unforgettable culinary experience will be open to the public for just 8,500 baht for a five-course meal.

Meanwhile, throughout the festival, each chef will host two or three signature dinners at the hotel’s award-winning restaurants – Madison, Biscotti, Guilty, Spice Market, and Shintaro.

Claire Mark, considered one of the world’s best pastry chefs, has teamed up with Sutakon Suwannachot to showcase their fine and delicate confectionery in the Lobby Lounge throughout the week.

Recent years have also brought back exclusive side events, including the World Gourmet Brunch on Sunday, September 11, 2022, with daily cooking classes and other attractions to appeal to aspiring chefs and professionals alike.

The 22nd World Gourmet Festival proudly supports of Foundation for the Welfare of Rajavithi-Girls’ Home Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali and will donate 600 baht to its fund for every ticket sold. Proceeds from the auctions will also support the cause.
