Baba Shuk Spices Up Thonglor With New Mediterranean Dishes

Introducing the sensational newcomer to The Commons Thonglor: Baba Shuk! Prepare to embark on an exhilarating culinary journey as you indulge in delectable Mediterranean delicacies.

Each dish at Baba Shuk is meticulously and passionately crafted, drawing inspiration from the vibrant and bustling markets of none other than Tel Aviv.

The restaurant’s menu prominently features Israeli cuisine elements, including the iconic hummus, crafted with traditional methods, and soft, warm pita breads.

Co-owners Anchal Pathela and Chet Srikuruwal, who also run the Sourced deli at the same venue, introduce this fresh Mediterranean eatery to the Thonglor scene, offering meat platters, falafel, and a gamut of Middle Eastern delights.

Their kebab assortments are accompanied by an array of pickled and herb side dishes, hummus, and pita – an exceptionally fluffy type that arrives warm, perfect for dipping.

Their meat varieties include chicken for THB 400, harissa chicken for THB 400, lamb for THB 550, and a blend of beef and lamb price at THB 500.

They offer hummus in three styles: regular at THB 180, smoky at THB 200, and Hummus Baba Shuk at THB 250, which incorporates eggplant, boiled egg, s’chug, harissa, and amba tahini.

In addition, the venue serves small plates including baba ganoush enhanced with walnuts and pomegranate molasses priced at THB 200, shakshuka combined with feta cheese, and muhamarra with red pepper and walnut.

Baba Shuk can be found on the main floor of The Commons Thonglor, nestled in a corner, close to additional Commons seating options. A word of advice for lunchtime visitors: the beef and lamb may not be ready yet, so opt for the chicken.

This freshly launched establishment welcomes guests daily from 11:15 am to 10 pm. For more information, visit their Instagram at: www.instagram.com/baba.shuk/ or contact them directly at 094 526 4416.
