The international trade exhibition caters to foodies, shop owners, and anyone who wishes to start their own business immersed in the new wave of Thai café culture which has seen an explosion in popularity during recent times. With so many specialty coffee, bakery, and ice cream shops opening all over the country, interest from the public is growing rapidly.

Latest Machinery and Premium Ingredients From 150+ Exhibitors

TCTD and TBI 2022 will feature thousands of the very latest innovations in machinery and ingredients from around the world for guests to browse throughout the four-day event. All of the companies who are taking part in the exhibition shall display and demonstrate their products to a legion of visitors and buyers who shall be in attendance at BITEC Bangkok.

Mr. Kavin Kittiboonya, Managing Director of Kavin Intertrade Co., Ltd., the show organizer, has seen that more Thais are interested in starting their own coffee, bakery, or ice cream businesses, so much so that it has now become a trend among ambitious entrepreneurs.

The product line-up ranges from coffee beans (Thai specialty beans and imported beans by Thai roasters and large coffee brands), flavoured coffee, ready-to-drink coffee, coffee machines, roaster machines, moka pots, coffee drip sets, and vacuum blenders. There is massive demand for these items at the moment, both for commercial use and home use.

Specific to bakery-related products, some of the most popular items available at the show include bread ovens and baking equipment, high-quality ingredients, waffle makers, cake storage containers, and cake display stands. Many people made use of having more time at home during Covid-19 to start new hobbies, like baking, and interest is still very strong.

What is the scoop on TBI 2022 products, sought after by those in the ice cream industry? Attendees can peruse an array of gelato making machines, soft-serve making machines, slush machines, freezers, ice shaving machines, ice making machines, packaging for ice cream, and anything else one would need to establish a successful ice cream operation.

Café equipment and solutions are well-catered for at TCTD and TBI 2022, with a number of companies on hand to supply furniture, cleaning equipment, drying solutions, storage units, packing and packaging materials, POS and CRM systems, and logistics solutions.

Barista Competitions, Free Workshops and Culinary Discussions

Aside from the extensive selection of products on offer, the event also has a full schedule of engaging activities for those in attendance to enjoy. The 14th Thailand National Barista Competition and the 6th Thailand National Brewers Cup Competition will be lively affairs: the winners shall represent Thailand at the World Coffee Championship (WCC) next year.

“Together with the Thai Barista Association, we are the only coffee show that held such a prestigious coffee event. So far we have created two Thai world champions and we want more for Thailand – this is a good opportunity for baristas and for those interested in this profession to attend, see their rivals up close, and learn new techniques”, said Mr. Kavin.

Tea and Kombucha Blending and Menu Creation Techniques classes are going to appeal to tea aficionados, and the workshop course on Gelato Mix and Match Techniques is the ideal choice for those who aspire to establish and manage their own ice cream parlours.
