Get Fresh, Locally Grown Foods at K Village’s Farmers’ Market

For those of you in and around Bangkok who consider yourselves to be food aficionados, then K Village has got the ideal event for you. Every second weekend of each month, the Sukhumvit-based open-air lifestyle mall puts on another installment of its farmers’ market.

There are lots of exciting items to unearth, with local vendors selling artisan products that are not always stocked in shops: these include organic fruit and vegetables, freshly made baked goods, homemade gourmet sausages, made-to-order vegan delicacies, and small batch soups, drinks, and snacks – perfect for any health-conscious consumers out there.

Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13 are the dates to mark in your diaries as the next opportunity to attend the K Village Farmer’s Market, which also has an incredible line-up of handcrafted toiletries, jewellery, accessories, ceramics, plants, and fragrances.

Explore Interesting Items From Local Farmers and Artisans

K Village community shopping mall is located in the Phrom Phong area, on Sukhumvit Soi 26, close to Rama 4 Road, and features two floors with commercial spaces and a massive open area to host markets. The pet-friendly complex has a super array of stores, whether it’s trendy fashion boutiques that you’re after, supermarkets, coffee shops, or restaurants.

The lively farmers’ market has become an institution over a number of years with foodies, as well as lovers of craft and artisanal products, who give their support to local farms and artisans by buying directly from them – shoppers are then able to cut out the middleman.

One brand which shoppers love at the K Village Farmers’ Market is Maison Jean Philippe, whose stand selling breads and pastries can be seen in the photo above. Well-known for their homemade sourdough bread, they also have croissants, Danish pastries, and more.

If you love fresh, healthy organic fruit and vegetables, then you’ve absolutely come to the right place! An example of the quality on offer can be seen in the first of the trio of photos above: Ganicco Farm, a supplier from Nonthaburi, sells mixed salad, herbs, and tomatoes.

The second photo shows Supbondin Farm’s stand, the well-received Nakhon Ratchasima producer of organic fruit and veg. Their array of top quality produce includes sweeetcorn, salad leaves, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, Chinese long beans, tumeric root, okra, and pumpkins, along with freshly harvested bananas, lemons, papayas, and passion fruit.

Sausage At Home, seen immediately above, makes a range of homemade sausages with no added borax, preservatives, or food colourings. They have many delightful flavours to choose from, with Italian, Chilli, Pepper, Cheese & Onion, and Nori Seaweed all available.

An Enjoyable Day Out Sure To Excite Both Young and Old

Attendees of the K Village Farmers’ Market have much more than just gourmet foodstuffs to look forward to perusing. There are also many other artisan products, such as the nice potted plants seen above crafted by Smile Plants, a premium grower of plants and herbs.

Some other in-demand goods at this monthly gathering include Nuadin Craftsman Studio ceramic homeware sets, 100% handmade and guaranteed to be non-toxic, lead-free, and microwave oven-safe. The clay specialists from Bang Khen have an impressive selection of handcrafted plates, bowls, coffee mugs, coffee drippers, tea cups, mugs, and saucers.

You can also discover talented local music acts at the market, namely live jazz musicians, bringing some smooth and cool vibes to the popular community mall. At their next event, Deema Band will play on the Saturday and Hot Club of Siam will perform on the Sunday.

Perhaps you are interested to join in with a K Village Farmers’ Market workshop? Wasana Jongjaroensin, the owner of cannabis farm 420 Forest Park, will share her insights on the best cannabis growing techniques – the exclusive classes are limited to 10 people a day.

Children will love the pony riding around the mall. It is a sure-fire way to keep youngsters thoroughly entertained, giving parents a chance to relax whilst their little ones have fun!
