Mango Art Festival Celebrates Diversity and Emerging Artists

The theme of Mango Art Festival 2023 is “Rise,” commencing tomorrow, Tuesday, May 2, at 6pm. The festival will take place daily from 11am to 9pm until Sunday, May 7, at River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung 24.

Aiming to honor diversity, fresh starts, and exploration through art, this third installment of the lifestyle art festival is committed to highlighting up-and-coming artists and designers by giving them the necessary creative environment to display their abilities to the public.

Similar to past editions, art enthusiasts can interact with renowned artists, domestic and international art galleries, and product designers while networking with art collectors.

This festival will assemble 21 galleries from Thailand and other countries, 75 individual artists, 20 product design brands, 19 art and craft brands, and 16 live performances.

Their creations are classified into Art, Design, and Performance & Music and are exhibited in four areas — Galleries, Independent Artists, Product Design, and Art & Craft — with a separate space for performance and music.

Business matching continues to be a distinguishing feature of the festival, as it seeks to foster productive collaborations between artists and galleries.

The event features special exhibits like “Holy Designer” by Sirawit Chatu, “Flowers Of The 12 Zodiac” by Wannita Tankeng, “Rise Of Pride” by Riety, and “Manzood”; in addition to a “Creative Economy” debate involving politicians from various political parties on Saturday at 3pm.

Other attractions include afternoon discussions led by experts in the art and lifestyle sector.

The festival will cover a variety of topics, such as Reimagining Waste: The Artistic Path To A Greener Future by Thanaboon Somboon on Wednesday, and Grazing Bangkok’s Art Buffet by Bruce Scott on Thursday.

Additionally, the festival will feature What The Rise Of Urban Art Means For Investors by Piriya Vachajitpan on Friday and Sensing Bangkok: Feeling The City Through The Senses by Philip Cornwel Smith on Sunday.

Entry to the event is free of charge. You can visit the festival’s official website or check out the Facebook page for more details.
