Ice Magic: Fantasy On Ice Offers an Escape From Bangkok’s Heat

With the summer weather predicted to be the warmest that we have seen in years, an outdoor snow park smack bang in the centre of town sounds like a perfect respite from the intense Bangkok heat.

From April 18 to July 16, Ice Magic: Fantasy On Ice organized by Apollo Entertainment Media will bring actual ice and snow activities to the Kingdom, at The Market Bangkok.

This will be the winter playground’s debut appearance in Thailand and It will also be the biggest pop-up ice and snow attraction that has ever been built in the nation.

Standing 11.5 metres tall with a surface area of 3,000 metres, the tentage is going to be divided into two different zones: ice and snow zones with its own distinctive attraction.

Debuted in Beijing’s freezing north during the 2008 Summer Olympics, Ice Magic: Fantasy on Ice is a spectacular ice-skating show that combines the artistry of figure skating with the enchanting world of fantasy.

Talented skaters in elaborate costumes show off their breathtaking skating skills while interpreting popular themes from fairy tales, myths, legends, and fantasy stories.

The show often has skating, acrobatics, and aerial performances, along with a captivating soundtrack and stunning visual effects. Sometimes It also has famous skaters like Olympic and World Champions as special guests, making the event even more exciting.

As Ice Magic: Fantasy on Ice has grown in popularity, the show has evolved to include a variety of stories and themes, incorporating many styles of ice skating and performance.

Thailand’s Ice Magic: Fantasy on Ice show will include snowboarding in the real world and ice sculptures, and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics’ snow machines will be used in the snow zone, where snow will be created for 20 days prior to the start of the event.

The snow zone will feature a large number of snow sculptures, as well as an 80-metre long snow mound. Meanwhile, the ice zone will include a 300-square-metre ice skating rink, a 6.5-metre ice slide, and ice sculptures from the renowned Harbin Ice Festival.

Anyone visiting the winter wonderland are asked to reserve a time slot and are advised to bundle up in cold weather attire if they intend to spend any significant amount of time there. Snowshoes and winter clothes are available in limited quantities.
