Atsuko Okatsuka’s “Full Grown” Comedy Tour Comes to Bangkok

American stand-up comedian Atsuko Okatsuka, recognized for her distinct comedic style, and her talent for turning everyday life stories into uproarious humour is set to delight the audience in Bangkok with an eagerly awaited show on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Comedy enthusiasts can look forward to a night of unforgettable laughter as Atsuko takes the stage in Thailand’s capital at Aksara Theatre, situated on the 3rd level of King Power Downtown Complex. In addition to Bangkok, she will also bring her “Full Grown” tour to several other Asian cities, including Singapore, Taipei, Osaka, and Tokyo.

During her Bangkok show, Atsuko Okatsuka will hilariously share captivating stories about her upbringing, reflecting on how she has learned everything starting from doing laundry to navigating her relationships with family, all presented in a humorous way!

She was named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch” in 2022, following the success of her stand-up special, “The Intruder” on HBO. She became the second Asian American woman to have a stand-up special on the popular streaming platform.

The 35-year-old comedian gained huge popularity in 2019, for her stand-up performance at The Ice House comedy club in Pasadena, California, during an earthquake. Her ability to maintain a calm atmosphere and deliver sharp-witted humour amidst the tremors earned her significant acclaim.

Since starting her comedy career in the late 2000s, Atsuko has garnered a substantial global fanbase with her unique voice in comedy and her ability to connect with audiences through humour that often reflects her cultural experiences and perspectives.
