Bangkok’s EMSPHERE Redefines the Thai Capital’s Retail Landscape

Bangkok’s shopping and leisure scene has been given a massive upgrade with the recent opening of EMSPHERE, the final component of EM district, a mega project from Thailand’s well-known retail developer, The Mall Group. Since launching on December 1, EMSPHERE has become hugely popular with visitors, eager to discover everything that it has to offer.

The EM district consists of three upscale shopping complexes: Emporium, Emquartier, and EMSPHERE. The Mall Group Chairwoman, Ms. Supaluck Umpujh, envisions EMSPHERE as a ‘sleepless metropolis’ aiming to position itself as a world-class mixed use development.

Covering an area of 200,000 square meters across six floors in the bustling Phrom Phong neighbourhood, the newly-opened shopping destination boasts an array of luxury fashion stores, mid-range brands, restaurants, and a fabulous selection of entertainment venues.

EMPSHERE’s fifth and sixth floors are made up of entertainment zones, featuring a host of bars and clubs including beach clubs and supper clubs, providing an exceptional nightlife experience. For those who are big fans of supercars there is also a luxury cars section on the 2nd floor, boasting some of the world’s top brands, such as Rolls-Royce and Porsche.

The establishment is also home to UOB Live, a 12,000 square meter hall with the capacity to accommodate up to 6,000 people, and caters to a diverse range of occasions, such as concerts, sports, arts and cultural events, exhibitions, conferences, and even auto shows.

UOB Live at EMSPHERE is operated by the well-known American entertainment firm AEG. It is ideally situated in downtown Bangkok, directly connected to the BTS Skytrain station, and is set to welcome some of music’s biggest stars and top local talents onto the stage.

24-Hour Dining Options Offering a Range of Culinary Delights

A great highlight of this dynamic shopping mall is its unique 24-hour dining zone, which is perfect for those who prefer late-night meals or have unconventional schedules. Whether you are a night owl, or an early bird, EMPSHERE’s dining options are sure to impress you.

Diners can savour some tremendous culinary delights, ranging from international cuisines to local dishes. There are notable eateries including the famed Nayuki boba milk tea from China, Thai favourite Co Limited, and Gordon Ramsay’s well-loved Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, the upscale all-day dining chain that now has 11 restaurants in total around the world.

Additionally, the Gourmet Market located on the ground level presents an excellent range of high-quality products from all corners of the world, including a variety of fresh produce, seafood, and meat, alongside artisanal foods, beverages, cooking ingredients, and more.

EMSPHERE also boasts the first downtown IKEA store in Thailand and SE Asia, occupying the entire third floor of the mall. This is the fourth outlet that the Swedish furniture retailer has in the country, joining three other locations, including Bang Na, Bang Yai, and Phuket.

Distinctly divided into four zones, the Sukhumvit space has more than 8,200 products for customers to check out. The store’s restaurant offers a wonderful view of Phrom Phong’s Benchasiri Park, a fantastic spot to enjoy Swedish meatballs, while gazing at the scenery.

A direct walkway connects Phrom Phong BTS Skytrain station to EMSPHERE, giving easy access to anyone visiting the mall. It’s open daily from 10am to 12am and the dining zone is open around the clock – Go to their website or Facebook page for further information.
