Maho Rasop Festival Unveils a List of Acts for December Shows

The annual Maho Rasop Festival, a beacon of indie rock in northern metro Bangkok, is gearing up for its December 2 to 3 showcase, unveiling a fresh wave of acts that further brightens its already vibrant lineup.

Adding to the festival’s energetic ambiance are 16 newly announced performers, including the UK’s punk rock dynamo, Idles, and Canada’s alluring dream pop ensemble, Alvvays.

These newcomers will share the stage with an array of established talent, including the headlining act, post-punk titans Interpol, confirming the festival’s commitment to delivering a global blend of remarkable music talent.

Further contributing to this international assembly are acts like Caspian, the post-rock virtuosos from America, and indie artist Alex G.

Additionally, Montreal’s indie songwriter Homeshake, UK’s bands Yard Act and Squid, along with Melbourne’s psychedelic jazz fusion troupe, Mildlife, are all scheduled to light up the two-day festival with their performances.

Significantly, Maho Rasop is championing regional talent, giving a prominent stage to the South Korean collective Balming Tiger, and Japanese powerhouses Envy and Otoboke Beaver.

Thailand’s locally-celbrated bands, such as Soft Pine, Death of Heather, Ford Trio, and The Yers, are joining the roster too, amplifying the local music scene’s representation.

Advanced tickets for this musical extravaganza, set to take place at ESC Park in Rangsit, are available until July 10 for THB 3,990.

The festival is making its return following a pandemic-induced hiatus, resuming its tradition of hosting a diverse mix of 35 bands and DJs, as exemplified by its triumphant comeback last November.

This year, the Maho Rasop Festival promises to deliver an even more varied and engaging musical experience.
