Casio Soon To Release New G-SHOCK Fitness-Focused Watch

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. recently announced the launch of a new addition to the sports-driven G-SQUAD line in its G-SHOCK family composed of shock-resistant watches: the GBD-200.

These new compact watches inherited the iconic square case design from the first G-SHOCK and offer convenient functionality for training and everyday use. Besides, the GBD-200 features a new smaller profile design for the case that is 8.8mm shorter, 2.0mm thinner, and 3.4mm narrower than its predecessor.

The watch’s case, bezel, and other parts have been carefully designed to appear flat when viewed from the side, making the piece look even slimmer.

Its band is made of soft urethane to provide exceptional ventilation and flexibility, ensuring a perfect fit on the wrist. Moreover, it has holes near the lugs that hold the band to the case, ensuring breathability, helping to wick away sweat, and giving the watch a comfortable, airy fit ideal for exercising.

The GBD-200, which allows for precise length adjustments, also boasts exceptional functionality.

Users can pair the watch with a smartphone via Bluetooth (R) to adjust the distances captured with its acceleration sensor using the smart device’s GPS. With that feature, the watch can measure distances with greater degrees of accuracy even if it is not connected to the smartphone.

It can also measure running pace and includes an automatic lap feature that keeps track of times over a set distance.

Additionally, when used with the dedicated G-SHOCK MOVE app, the watch offers excellent support for daily workouts, allowing users to check life logs with data on calories burned or step counts, and more.
