Pawsome News! IKEA Thailand Goes Pet-Friendly From June 6

IKEA, the world-renowned Swedish flatpack furniture brand, is set to expand its customer-friendly policies by welcoming pets into its Thailand stores, commencing June 6.

This progressive move was announced recently via their social media platforms, marking a significant shift in the company’s in-store policy.

While this change may be a delight for many, it’s worth noting that certain rules apply, staying true to IKEA’s organized approach.

Cats and dogs are invited to accompany their owners during shopping, provided they do not exceed a weight limit of 15 kilograms.

If you are to bring your pet in a stroller, a zipper is required to securely encase your furry companion.

IKEA strongly emphasizes that owners must supervise their pets at all times within their stores.

Importantly, pets will not be allowed in designated food areas. Further, owners will be held accountable for any damages caused by their pets.

Customers should also be aware that the company does not provide pet-sitting services, which necessitates that pets remain with their owners throughout their visit.

The newly introduced pet-friendly policies will be implemented across multiple locations in Thailand.

This includes the IKEA stores in Bangna, Bang Yai, and the forthcoming Phuket branch, set to commence operations from the following Tuesday.

Bangkok has been eagerly awaiting the opening of another IKEA store in the city’s midtown area.

The Swedish retailer plans to open a new outlet in the long under-construction Emsphere near BTS Phrom Phong.

IKEA’s journey in Thailand began with its first store at Mega Bang Na, followed by another addition in Bang Yai.

The inclusion of pets in IKEA’s shopping experience surely adds a unique aspect to the brand’s customer-focused approach.
