Tottenham Hotspur Appoint TUMI To Be South Korean Tour Sponsor

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has appointed TUMI as the official sponsor for its pre-season tour to Korea this month.

The partnership means that TUMI will support the club, including the entire travel delegation, with its luggage and lifestyle accessories.

TUMI is an international travel and lifestyle brand that has been offering high-quality, durable products since 1975. Now that it has teamed up with Tottenham Hotspur, it will equip all team members with personalized products to make their pre-season travel easier and more enjoyable.

Through the partnership, TUMI will give players and club delegation members its iconic Alpha Bravo Search Backpack and 19 Degree Extended Trip Expandable 4 Wheel Packing Case, both made from environmentally friendly, recycled materials.

Tottenham Hotspur Chief Commercial Officer Todd Kline spoke about the partnership, saying the club was delighted to be teaming up with TUMI as they both share “the same uncompromising standards and determination to drive excellence.”

“We know our athletes and delegation lead active lifestyles and are constantly traveling, often carrying their most prized possessions with them while they’re on the go. We wanted to equip the team with high quality travel and lifestyle products, offering them style and function, so they can keep performing to the highest standard,” he added.

Son Heung-min, the Premier League’s Golden Boot winner and a player for Tottenham Hotspur, is already a TUMI brand ambassador. The announcement strengthens TUMI’s relationship with Son as a Tottenham Hotspur Official Partner and offers him the chance to help his teammates.

“I’m so happy that my partner, TUMI, is supporting my Club this summer for our tour. I’m excited to have my teammates join me in my home country. It’s perfect for them to arrive in style thanks to TUMI,” Son said.

Moreover, TUMI Korea brand head Jay Jeong praised Son’s “unwavering” dedication to supporting his team and his home country, adding that they were excited to expand their partnership to benefit the entire club and welcome them to Korea.

Also, to celebrate the milestone, TUMI Korea announced that it would launch a special initiative in stores and on the TUMI.CO.KR website.

TUMI, which sells products in stores and online, has only partnered as another team’s official luggage partner once in the past, when it teamed up with F1’s McLaren Racing Team.

Now, the brand will accompany Tottenham Hotspur on their pre-season tour across South Korea, which includes two matches in the Coupang Play Series against Team K League and Sevilla FC on July 13 and 16, respectively.
