Former Miss Ukraine Joins the Fight To Defend Her Country

Former Miss Ukraine Anastasia Lenna has sworn to protect her homeland Ukraine against invading Russian forces, vowing that troops would “die on our land” in an Instagram post, while posing with a massive rifle.

Lenna competed in the 2015 Miss Grand International beauty pageant as a representative of Ukraine. The former beauty queen has chosen to ditch her heels in favour of firearms.

The Instagram post was a video she made on Sunday showing herself clutching the giant assault rifle as she fired at a shooting range.

“Training. The invaders will die on our land! All world see this! Wait and see what will happen,” Lenna wrote in the post.

Lenna went on, “Anyone who wants to join the defense of security in Europe, the world can come and stand side-by-side with Ukrainians against the invaders of the 21st century. Ask your embassy,” the ex-beauty queen/current solider commented.

After Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized his soldiers to invade, Ukraine’s leadership has called on their citizens to help in the defense of the nation.

Following Russia’s sweeping onslaught on the country last Thursday, Ukraine has begun providing guns to anybody who wants to fight, even going so far as showing their recruits how to construct Molotov cocktails.

On Monday, Lenna wrote this caption on a new post, “I am not a military, just a woman, just a normal human. Just a person, like all people of my country. I have also been an airsoft player for years.”

“We will win!” the 24-year-old added, who was born in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital city.

“I speak to all people of the World! Stop war in Ukraine! No people should die! We can stop all this together,” Lenna stated.

She pleaded for NATO to “close the sky,” and to “help us Ukrainian people to stop Russian aggression.”

As the battle enters its sixth day on Tuesday, Russia’s military has been met with heavy opposition by Ukrainian soldiers doing their best to defend the country.
