Angelina Jolie Claims Brad Pitt Choked and Struck Children

Angelina Jolie has filed new court papers with shocking accusations against her ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Responding to Pitt’s lawsuit over a French wine company they bought while still married, the actress accused her ex-husband of attacking her and their children in a 2016 plane incident.

Jolie’s attorneys filed the countersuit Tuesday in a Los Angeles court, accusing the actor of being intoxicated and attacking his family during the altercation on a private plane on September 14 that year.

According to the new documents, Pitt reportedly verbally abused his ex-wife and their children and poured alcohol on them during the flight back to Los Angeles. The incident was reportedly the reason Jolie filed for divorce.

The new filing alleges that one of the couple’s children attempted to verbally defend his mother, but Pitt lunged at him. Jolie allegedly tried to stop him, but he threw himself backwards into the plane’s seats, injuring his then-wife.

“The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened,” it added.

Court documents also describe “many tense hours” of the flight in which Pitt repeatedly emerged from the plane’s back to yell and curse at his family.

The actress’s lawyers wrote that she had done everything possible to prevent her children from reliving the painful moment.

“But when Pitt filed this lawsuit seeking to reassert control over Jolie’s financial life and compel her to rejoin her ex-husband as a frozen-out business partner, Pitt forced Jolie to publicly defend herself on these issues for the first time,” the filings read.

Speaking to the media, a source close to Pitt said Jolie’s claims were false and it was “incredibly sad” that she continued to revise and reimagine her description of an event that happened six years ago.

According to the informant, Jolie intended to add “completely untrue information to try to get additional attention for herself at the expense of their family.”

While Jolie’s complaint about Pitt’s abusive behavior during the flight surfaced in her divorce settlement and other court documents, it’s the first time her legal team has alleged new details.
