On Wednesday morning, Jason Kelce set the internet abuzz after humourously suggesting on a sports radio talk show that the gossip surrounding his brother Travis Kelce’s relationship with singer Taylor Swift is “100% true”.
During his appearance on DeCamara & Ritchie on Audacy’s SportsRadio 94 WIP on Wednesday morning, Jason, 35, chuckled when asked once again about his brother’s love life.
Recently, post his Thursday night game, Jason was probed live on TV about Travis and Swift. He responded with uncertainty about his brother’s love scenario.
When asked once more on the radio show, Jason confirmed the news as “100% true”. This had the internet and the radio hosts convinced.
However, a listen to Jason’s chat reveals he promptly clarified he was “joking” regarding having inside scoop on the alleged relationship.
“It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about Travis’ love life,” Jason shared with the radio hosts.
“I try to keep his business kind of his business, stay out of that world.” But, he added, “having said that, man, I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100% true, and I hope this thing goes a mile — no, I’m joking, I don’t know what’s happening”.
Spokespeople for the “Blank Space” artist and two-time Super Bowl winner Travis haven’t issued statements on their speculated relationship.
Speculation has been rife that Travis and Swift, both aged 33, are in a relationship following a report earlier this month that connected them romantically.
Months ago, on their New Heights podcast, the NFL celebrity mentioned his effort to meet Swift during her Eras tour and even tried to share his contact details. But, according to Travis, his initial endeavor to charm the singer didn’t pan out.
He expressed his regret, noting, “It’s a shame she doesn’t converse pre or post concerts to preserve her vocal cords for her extensive setlist.”
The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end had a long-term relationship with sports journalist Kayla Nicole. Their relationship ended in August 2020 amidst infidelity speculations.
Travis dismissed such whispers in a now-erased tweet and has since been reserved about his romantic affairs.
But lately, he’s started discussing dating once more, revealing to Jason on their podcast that he’s ventured back into the dating app scene, contemplating using an action shot for his profile.
