Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted with a mysterious young Ukrainian woman just after his relationship with Camila Morrone ended.
The 47-year-old actor was photographed with a 22-year-old woman, identified as Maria Beregova, partying with other friends around the same time she stopped using her maiden name after divorcing her husband.
The two were seen on a yacht in St. Tropez, France, in July. However, the news made headlines on Wednesday after it was confirmed that DiCaprio had broken up with his much younger girlfriend, Camila Morrone, after dating for four years.
Now, the DailyMail has identified the woman he was accompanying as Maria Beregova, saying the Ukrainian model and the actor had been partying in France shortly after he broke up with 24-year-old Morrone.
Social media platforms exploded against DiCaprio, with some users criticizing the large age difference between him and his partners. Others mocked that the actor only dates women under 25 and seems to break up with his girlfriends before they reach that age.
Morrone, a model-turned-actress, started dating DiCaprio in 2017 when she was just 20. They made their first appearance together at the Oscars in 2022.
The couple faced criticism for their 23-year age difference. However, speaking to the Los Angeles Times in 2019, Morrone defended their relationship, saying: “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
DiCaprio and Morrone reportedly split more than a month ago, just days before her 25th birthday.
The rumors came after the “Inception” star and the “Daisy Jones & The Six” actress were seen having a tense conversation on a Malibu beach in May. Over the summer, the Oscar-award winner fueled further speculation after he was spotted wandering Europe alone.
DiCaprio seems to follow a pattern in his dating history. The actor has dated other A-list celebrities who were under 25 at the time of their relationship, including Helena Christensen, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Bar Refaeli, Nina Agdal, Blake Lively, and Gisele Bündchen.
