Usher Reportedly Marries Long-Term Girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea

Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea are now officially married, following the acquisition of their marriage license in Las Vegas a few days prior.

Just a few hours after rumours of their marriage started circulating when he was seen wearing a gold ring on his left hand at his new album’s release party at Cathédrale on Sunday night, a source confirmed that they are indeed married.

After his memorable performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, the 45-year-old rapper was spotted with a gold wedding band on his left hand, sparking widespread online speculation.

On their first public appearance since getting married, the couple showed affection openly, embracing and walking arm in arm at the event celebrating his latest album, “Coming Home.”

Though he openly wore his gold wedding ring, her left hand was hidden beneath a white glove.

For the occasion, he chose a fluffy white coat over a black outfit, while his partner of many years, aged 39, dressed in a white off-the-shoulder top and matching trousers.

According to records, they got their marriage license in Clark County on February 8. A source revealed that the decision to marry was made by the “OMG” singer following guidance from his spiritual advisor, Amba Kahly Su.

The wedding is set to be a private celebration with only close friends and family, following what is expected to be a spectacular performance.

This marriage marks Usher’s second, his first being with fashion designer Tameka Foster, 53, with whom he has two teenage sons, Usher ‘Cinco’ Raymond V, 16, and Navid Ely, 15.

Usher and Goicoechea, 39, also share two children, three-year-old daughter Sovereign Bo and two-year-old son Sire Castrello.

The couple first became public in October 2018 when she was seen at his birthday celebration.

By the next year, Usher was photographed sharing a kiss with the Miami-born music executive backstage at a Hollywood Bowl event in October 2019.

They’ve been seen together on the red carpet multiple times, including at Vanity Fair’s Oscar party in 2023, and often feature on each other’s social media.

For Goicoechea’s 39th birthday last October, Usher shared a heartfelt message, expressing his gratitude for her, saying: “I couldn’t ask for a better partner. Happy birthday, my love.”

On the same day they applied for their marriage license last week, Usher mentioned on the Talk show that his family would be there to watch him perform at the Super Bowl.

He said: “They will be around. I’ve been receiving tons of notes from Naviyd. Usher, he gave me a couple of notes.”

“He gave me a few songs he felt like I should definitely cut, songs I should keep.”

The father of four also spoke about the challenge of juggling family life with his R&B career, noting that sometimes his kids prefer him not to attend their sports games or recitals to keep a low profile.

“They don’t want me to be at their basketball game or their recital, or they wanna be very, very low-key because they don’t want that energy.”

“And it’s hard, because I try my hardest to have that empathy, but I wanna be there.”

All four children are expected to be present at Usher’s second wedding, which will be held at one of the famous chapels in Las Vegas.
