Taylor Swift’s Tour Film Passes $100M in Worldwide Pre-Sales

On Thursday, the American movie theater chain AMC announced that the concert film “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour” has surpassed $100 million in global pre-sales.

This news comes just over a week before the film’s worldwide release and soon after AMC revealed their collaboration to showcase “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.”

Swift’s film holds AMC’s record for the highest single-day ticket sales in the U.S. and is slated to be screened in over 8,500 theaters worldwide.

The movie is a significant contributor to the impressive financial success of the Eras Tour, projected to have spurred up to $4.6 billion in consumer spending, as per estimates from QuestionPro.

This year, five films have marked their openings with over $100 million in domestic box office:

-“Barbie” at $162 million

-“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” at $146 million

-“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” at $120 million

-“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” at $118 million

-“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” at $106 million

Following the “Barbenheimer” weekend, Swift’s film emerges as the year’s second major cinematic event, geared towards drawing audiences to theaters in the post-pandemic era.

The film, spanning 2 hours and 48 minutes, captures moments from three of the mega-star’s shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, close to Los Angeles, in early August. The “Eras” tour has an impressive lineup of 146 dates.

For those keen on securing pre-sale tickets for “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour,” they can be found at TSTheErasTourFilm.com.

In the U.S., enthusiasts can watch the film at all AMC locations, with at least four showings daily from Thursday to Sunday.

Paying homage to Swift, tickets are priced at $19.89 (approx. THB 735) for adults, while offerings for children and seniors stand at $13.13 (approx. THB 485).
