Disney+ Thailand Unveils Multi-Screen Packages – Extra Fees

Fans of Marvel, Star Wars, and “Duck Tales” in Thailand will need to subscribe to Disney+ (and Hotstar) to enjoy these shows on more than one screen.

Disney, a pop culture behemoth, will introduce two Disney+ packages from June 29th, with multi-screen viewers required to shell out THB 2,290, as per Disney’s recent announcement.

The package previously launched two years ago, priced at THB 799, will continue under the name “Disney+ Hotstar Mobile”.

Priced at THB 99 monthly or THB 799 annually, it offers a single streaming screen, with no Airplay feature, but supporting 720p high definition.

The “Disney+ Hotstar Annual Premium Plan” will encompass streaming on four screens, 4k streaming, compatibility with more devices, and superior sound quality.

It’s also been confirmed by Disney that subscribers can set up profiles and utilize the service on Samsung TVs.

However, it’s important to note that this cost applies to subscriptions directly through the Disney service.

Customers who are billed for Disney+ through other providers like AIS will also see upgrades in their next billing cycle.

They’ll get an SMS reminder to select a renewal plan three days before the current one expires.

According to the statement from Disney, “If you purchased your subscription to Disney+ Hotstar through a third party, your billing and account management will typically be done through the third party.”

This increase in prices comes in the wake of an unpopular announcement six days earlier that Netflix would start prohibiting users from sharing passwords for free when they’re not residing in the same household.
