The Milwaukee Bucks’ championship hopes are more alive than ever. On Thursday, they defeated the Phoenix Suns 109-103 at home to level the best-of-seven NBA Finals series 2-2.
The man in the spotlight was Khris Middleton, who contributed 40 points, four assists and six rebounds. After suffering two losses in the first two games of the series, Milwaukee is building a sensational comeback.
Still, things did not start well in Game 4. The Suns were dominant in the opening minutes and took the first quarter 20-23.
The beacon that lit the way for the visiting team was an inspired Devin Booker (who provided 42 points, two assists and one rebound).
The Bucks did not sit back and, led by an inspired Middleton, took the second quarter 32-29. The remarkable performance of Giannis Atentokounmpo (26 points, eight assists and 14 rebounds) cannot be overlooked.
However, things would not be easy. At the start of the second half, Phoenix took back control of the game and took the third quarter 24-30.
Jae Crowder (15 points, three assists and eight rebounds) complemented Booker’s work.
In the fourth quarter, Middleton scored 10 consecutive points to help the Bucks overcome a nine-point deficit.
Milwaukee took the final quarter 33-21 for a victory that could change the course of the NBA Finals.
