Bryan Adams: So Happy It Hurts 2023 Tour Coming to Bangkok

Bryan Adams, the Canadian rock legend, will make a stop in Bangkok on Friday, March 17 at Royal Paragon Hall as part of his “So Happy It Hurts 2023 Tour”. The singer-songwriter is scheduled to perform in the Thai capital for the first time in 30 years with his last show in Bangkok being back in 1993, as a part of his “Waking Up The Neighbours World Tour”.

The Asian leg of the 2023 tour begins in Seoul, Korea on March 2, before making its way to Japan for four shows, in Sendai, Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya. The tour will then head to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Manila, before it eventually makes a final stop in Bangkok.

“So Happy It Hurts 2023 Tour” is named after Adams’ fifteenth album, released in March, 2022. He describes the album as being about “freedom, autonomy, spontaneity, and the thrill of the open road” he craved, during the devastation of the COVID global pandemic.

“(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” is Bryan Adams’ biggest hit to date, gaining huge sales on the back of its appearance on the “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” soundtrack. It was at number 1 on the UK charts for 16 weeks, the second longest amount of time in history.

Other top tracks include: “Summer of ’69”, “Heaven”, “Run To You”, “All For Love”, “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?”, “Please Forgive Me”, and “Straight From The Heart”.

The Kingston, Ontario native started recording music in 1975 with his breakout hit “Let Me Take You Dancing” dropping in 1979. A popular disco track, it was released shortly before his self-titled debut album came out in 1980, that features the catchy tune “Wastin’ Time”.

Adams’ second album “You Want It You Got It” came out in 1981, and it contained the rock radio hit, “Lonely Nights”, which reached number 3 on the US Album Rock Tracks chart. It was the LP “Reckless” that really got him known, making it to number 1 in the US in 1984.

He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having generated sales of more than 100 million records and singles worldwide. The 63-year-old crooner is best-known for his guitar-led rock music and his powerful vocals: while most of his work is pure rock, he has also dabbled with subgenres like soft rock, hard rock, pop rock, and even country music.

Bryan Adams has lived in Chelsea, London since the mid-80s, and it was around this time that he developed a successful career outside of singing in photography, shooting for an impressive line-up of magazines, including Interview, Harper’s Bazaar, and British Vogue.

Tickets to Bryan’s concert start from THB 2,200. You can visit: www.livenation.co.th or by calling 02-262-3838 to secure your seats for what should be an unforgettable evening.
