OneRepublic: Live in Concert Tour Coming to Bangkok in March

For anyone who has seen 2022’s hit movie “Top Gun: Maverick”, then the part where Tom Cruise and his fellow fighter pilots have a shirtless game of dogfight football on the beach will have surely made a massive impression. In homage to the first “Top Gun” and its well-loved volleyball scene, OneRepublic’s song “I Ain’t Worried” is playing in the background.

This perfect summer tune with a catchy hook and breezy melody was the group’s first top 10 record on the Billboard Hot 100 since early in 2014. The return to the spotlight for Ryan Tedder and his five bandmates was long overdue, having had so much previous success.

OneRepublic’s legions of fans have loyally supported the group since they first burst onto the scene in 2007, and the “Live in Concert Tour” is a chance for Ryan, Zach, Drew, Brian, Brent, and Eddie to celebrate their more than 16 years of colossal musical achievements.

You can catch the lads in Bangkok when their tour stops here on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani. “Counting Stars,” which has been viewed a whopping 3.7 billion times on YouTube, and “Apologize” are the Colorado band’s biggest hits so far.

“Live in Concert” is due to make other high-profile stops in Asia during the tour, including Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei, before ending in Tokyo on March 7.

In August 2021 OneRepublic released “Human”, their first album in five years, with 40+ US concerts coming a year later in 2022, and further shows in Europe towards the end of last year. “Human” has been very well-received, by fans and critics alike, since it was released.

The Grammy Award-nominated, six-member group are renowned for their pop/rock blend and inspiring lyrics. They have had three top 10 hits on the Billboard charts, on which their album “Native” spent 99 weeks, and have clocked up a huge 5 billion streams on Spotify.

Formed in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2007 by lead vocalist Ryan Tedder, and guitarist Zach Filkins, the band started to gain followers through Myspace, a social media website. It was late 2003 when, after playing a number of shows in and around LA, the boys came to the attention of record labels – eventually signing for an affiliate of Columbia Records.

2007’s “Dreaming Out Loud” was their debut studio album and its lead single “Apologize” reached number one in sixteen countries, leading to their Grammy Award nomination. It’s been nothing but success for OneRepublic since, and their international fanbase is huge.
