Grammy Award-nominated The Kid LAROI is coming to Bangkok this October for his ‘End Of The World’ tour that kicked off in May when he played a hometown concert in Sydney. He gained huge attention with three nominations at the recent MTV Video Music Awards.
The 19-year-old rap sensation has been selling-out shows across the world for some time now, having burst onto the music scene back in 2019 when the video for breakout record “Let Her Go” was uploaded on Lyrical Lemonade’s YouTube channel. LAROI, aka Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, has over the course of three years become a major, global star.
Fans of The Kid LAROI based in Thailand have been taking to social media since news of his Bangkok show broke to express their excitement about his imminent arrival: Tuesday, October 4th is the date to circle for what will be a great night at Impact Exhibition Hall 5.
As The Kid’s fame has expanded, so too have opportunities for him to bring his live show to new nations: indeed, it will be his first time ever performing in Thailand. The Singapore Grand Prix has multi-artist concerts which LAROI shall headline on October 2nd, the main race day, and fans of The Kid LAROI in Seoul can see him perform there on October 6th.
Playing to live audiences has really cemented The Kid LAROI’s reputation with critics and fans alike, who first drew praise for his high-energy performances when touring Australia in support of his mentor Juice WRLD three years ago, shortly before Juice passed away.
The collaboration track with Juice WRLD “Go” helped put The Kid LAROI on the map, but it was the global smash hit “Stay” featuring Justin Bieber which has brought him stardom, after it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 7 weeks and clocked 614 million YouTube views.
Charlton, as he was known, was brought up on a Waterloo, Sydney public housing estate before he later moved to the US. Back in the day, he recorded raps on his mum’s phone, combined with beats he got from YouTube. After winning a radio competition in Australia for school-age musicians, he was discovered by rap star and record executive Lil Bibby.
The rest, as they say, is history. If you want to see The Kid LAROI perform live in Bangkok at Impact Exhibition Hall 5, tickets for the highly-anticipated concert can be bought as of TOMORROW – Friday, September 9th, ranging from THB 2,500, through to THB 3,500.
