The Strokes Will Be Performing In Bangkok for One Night Only

In 2001, the Strokes exploded onto the scene with their hit album “Is This It”, which included timeless tracks such as “Last Night” and “Hard to Explain.” The band has remained one of the few early 2000s rock groups to not only survive but flourish.

On Monday, April 17th, the Strokes revealed the next portion of their Asian tour, designating Bangkok as the second destination on July 18th, subsequent to their Hong Kong performance.

Tickets for the Bangkok show at the Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani, in Pa Kret will be available on April 20th, with both seated and standing areas beginning at THB3,000.

At the dawn of the new millennium, the White Stripes gained prominence, the Hives shook the world, and Pulp achieved success in America. However, few 2000s rock bands have managed to maintain the popularity and significance that the Strokes have.

Made up of Julian Casablancas, Nikolai Fraiture, Albert Hammond Jr., Fabrizio Moretti, and Nick Valensi, the Strokes’ unapologetically nostalgic sound has persisted through six studio albums, most recently “The New Abnormal” in 2020.

Bangkok will serve as the second stop in the Asian portion of the tour, following Hong Kong. The band will then perform in Kuala Lumpur, We The Fest (WTF) 2023 in Jakarta, and the Fuji Rock Festival.
