SO Amazing Chefs 2023 Set To Get Underway With 11th Edition

Bangkok’s eagerly awaited culinary event, SO Amazing Chefs, is back for its 11th edition at So/ Bangkok from Friday, November 3 until Saturday, November 11. This nine-day event boasts 11 world-renowned chefs who together hold 12 Michelin stars.

They will display their culinary expertise through a range of activities including exclusive gala events, dinner cruises, intimate chef’s table sessions, omakase meals, weekend brunch spreads, culinary lessons, and a special vineyard trip.

The roster features Michelin-starred chefs from the US: Ari Weiswasser from Glen Ellen Star in California; Paul Librandt of Corton in New York; and Erik Anderson from Barndiva in California.

Joining the lineup are one-star chefs from Europe and Asia, such as Darren Chin from Malaysia’s Restaurant DC and Simon Scott from Bistrot Saveurs in France.

The list also features Rob Van Der Veeken of De Luytervelde in the Netherlands, Yoshiro Kiyama of Kiyama in Japan, and the Bonano brothers, Clément and Benjamin, from France’s Granit-La Mécanique des Frères Bonano.

Moreover, culinary experts like celebrity chef Kamol “Gigg” Chobdee-ngam from Lerdtip in Bangkok, and Patrice and Philippe Marchand from Les Frères Marchand, a historic cheese producer in France, will be in attendance.

Ticket prices start at 1,200 baht for a cheese workshop and go up to 2,500 baht for the Sunday brunch.

Additionally, there is a 4,999 baht wine tour to Monsoon Valley Vineyard in Hua Hin, an 8,000 baht dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River, and an 8,500 baht sake-matched omakase meal.

The 11th installment of SO Amazing Chefs takes place at the So/ Bangkok Hotel on Rama IV Road.
