The prestigious Michelin-starred restaurant, Blue by Alain Ducasse, extends an invitation for a remarkable afternoon tea experience, meticulously designed in harmony with the acclaimed chef’s guiding principles of simplicity and premium quality.
Starting on July 3, visitors can indulge in a variety of both sweet and savoury delicacies within the recently refurbished Blue Lounge, an ambiance that effortlessly marries private comfort and sophistication.
At a cost of THB 1,500++ per person, the bespoke afternoon tea is available every day starting from 2 until 5 pm.
The Blue Lounge, now enclosed with a door and drawn curtains for enhanced privacy, offers a tranquil retreat after a day of shopping, providing guests with a snug and exclusive environment.
Executive Chef Wilfrid Hocquet and Executive Pastry Chef and expert baker Christophe Glio have injected a modern, seasonal touch to the conventional afternoon tea.
The duo prepares an array of carefully conceived sweet and savoury choices that embody Chef Alain Ducasse’s commitment to using only superior ingredients.
Start with a selection of the most exceptional tantilizing morsels, like the Smoked Salmon & Pomelo, comprised of feuille de brick with layers of in-house smoked salmon.
The Tamago & Caviar includes Japanese tamago, Cristal caviar, mayonnaise, and marigold flowers. Concurrently, the Duck Terrine & Sourdough is homemade sourdough bread layered with chicken pate flavored with Madeira, Porto and glazed with pork jus.
For those with a craving for sweet, traditional scones, both plain and raisin, are offered with strawberry marmalade and whipped crème fraiche.
Other goodies include a Pineapple Polenta with a polenta sponge, caramel custard, and fresh and roasted pineapple, a roasted peach and thyme tartlet, and Vienoisserie Du Jour.
As the final act, the Blue lounge host presents the Sweets Trolley, allowing guests to select from an array of additional sweet treats, from the Rum Savarin, Fraisier, Lemon Tart to a delightful surprise – a box of biscuits and chocolates from the Manufacture In Paris.
Accompanying these exquisite morsels, the extensive beverage menu presents a range of premium Chaidim teas such as “Blue” Butterfly Pea Pandan, Earl Grey, Silver Needle, Chamomile, Rooibos, and an assortment of homemade sodas.
Coffee aficionados can also enjoy their preferred brew and have the chance to select beans sourced from the Manufacture in Paris. Alternatively, they can choose the hot chocolate made using Alain Ducasse’s secret recipe.
The Blue Lounge is open every day from 12 noon until 10 pm, serving a la carte desserts, Champagne and wine, alongside handcrafted cocktails and mocktails.
The Bespoke Afternoon Tea Experience is available from 2 pm until 5 pm daily. Enhance your afternoon tea experience with companions in the “Bronze” and “Pink” private rooms, offering a view of the Chao Phraya River.
